FALLing in Love
*pssstttt - see what I did there?
But seriously, get a load of these two!
Here's their proposal story:
Two lovers of hiking and being surrounded by nature, Nikki & Johna went to one of their favorite spots - Columcille Megalith Park. Located on 21 acres of land, the park offers several miles of looping trails. Quiet, serene and calming to the soul - the perfect hidden gem for two lovebirds. After 2 hours of hiking the wooded trails, Johna popped the question under the beautiful stone archway and Nikki said "YES!!"
One of my favorite parts of their love story is how much meaning there is behind her engagement ring. It belonged to her great grandmother and was passed down for generations. There's such beautifully crafted intricacy within this ring. The cracked blue sapphire was replaced with a gorgeous black onyx, which now rests proudly on Nichole's left ring finger.
Nichole & Johna are THE sweetest! I had so much fun chatting it up with them throughout their session. I even got to hear all about their gaming set up, which is side by side. They feel "whatever they do is better when done together," and I love that!
I love when couples choose a location that's meaningful to them. This is a place they come to enjoy often and having not been there myself for many years, it was super sweet to see the park for what it was through their eyes.
Other than the fact that they both totally nailed their wardrobe, can we take a moment to appreciate Nikki's dress?! They loved the high-low look and the lace that gave it such a vintage feel. If you know me, you can bet I was thrilled to discover they loved a good vintage find too.
Nichole & Johna are scheduled to tie the knot in October 2023 and I'm so excited for their wedding!
Headed out the door to find me a black onyx ring now - bye🏃♀️👋
It's super normal to be a little nervous before your session. Engagement sessions are a great way to allow yourself time to get comfortable in front of the camera before your big day. You have the opportunity to be photographed in a more relaxed and casual setting allowing you to display your authentic selves. They're also the perfect time to work with your hair and makeup artist as a trial run for your big day. Plus, don't forget to consider your wedding planning process - engagement & wedding announcements, save-the-dates, building a wedding website, wedding invitations, bridal showers and even personalized favors.
But all else aside, my favorite reason for you to schedule engagement photos are to document a once-in-a-lifetime moment of joy and excitement before marrying your soulmate.
