I love celebrating love!!!
So naturally I was thrilled when Jenn & Jeff wanted to make the trip from Philly to celebrate their engagement with me!
Here's their proposal story:
Back in April 2021, Jenn, Jeff, and their daughter, Eliana, set off on vacation to the happiest place on earth.. yes, Disney World! As my best and closest friends, I was so excited when I got a call from Jeff before they left and was let in on the big secret. Now, if you've ever tried to keep a secret from your best friend you know it is no easy task..
April 28th, the first day of their trip, Jeff got on one knee in front of Cinderella's castle & popped the question! And I anxiously awaited the infamous "ring on hand" photo all us girlfriends expect to receive in our inbox (I was not disappointed).
Jenn & Jeff knew they wanted a more natural environment for their session and while the Poconos offers so many beautiful locations, together we decided to move in a different direction. We ultimately found the perfect spot to compliment the vision we had in mind.
I like to offer my clients the option to choose two outfits for their engagement session. I always suggest one formal and one casual. After many exchanged texts, we found the perfect outfit for Jenn to coordinate with Jeff's police uniform. It wasn't until the DAY OF their session did I realize they were totally sporting red, white & blue - perfect!
Jenn & Jeff are such a beautiful couple inside and out. They have the deepest love for one another which as you can see shines right through their images. They're also one of the most playful couples I know - always making one another laugh! Not to mention making their photographer laugh - You try taking romantic photos of a police officer saying, "There's a snake in my boot!", and try not to lose it!!!!
Lock Ridge Park really offered us up the best of both worlds when it came to their session. We captured some really romantic shots during the first half of our session and then moved on to a more playful vibe. I really wanted to showcase all the best parts of their love story.
Jenn & Jeff are scheduled to tie the knot on May 20, 2023 - and I could not be more excited for such a special couple.
It's super normal to be a little nervous before your session. Engagement sessions are a great way to allow yourself time to get comfortable in front of the camera before your big day. You have the opportunity to be photographed in a more relaxed and casual setting allowing you to display your authentic selves. They're also the perfect time to work with your hair and makeup artist as a trial run for your big day. Plus, don't forget to consider your wedding planning process - engagement & wedding announcements, save-the-dates, building a wedding website, wedding invitations, bridal showers and even personalized favors.
But all else aside, my favorite reason for you to schedule engagement photos are to document a once-in-a-lifetime moment of joy and excitement before marrying your soulmate.
xx
